Because of the time delay between hitting the shutter and the phone actually grabbing the image, plus the issues with the speed of light and the short duration of lightning, the only way I could get these pics was by just continually snapping over and over and hope one of them caught the light.

This one did.

I suspect the noise pixels are actually rain drops. They are far brighter than the usual noise I get when I set the cam to "Night".
