(no subject)

For months I have been looking forward to scaling down the current job and starting off my leap into the great unknown future by spending a chunk of December back in Amsterdam. Then this gig ran into a technical revolution -- they always do -- and now I have a second fase coming online on December 16th, so no scaling back. Ok, the week before Christmas then. Turns out wanting to be back on the 25th fucks up the Saturday stay and tickets are in the $700 and up range, and the apprtment I wanted to stay in will not be available as my sister is in it with her family until the 22nd. Coupled with the fact that I will be leaving for NL on the 18th of January, Dean told me to wise up already and drop that plan.

I still have to take this vacation time, though because a) I am going nuts b) I took so little that Nokia will not let me carry over the accrued time unless I use up the minimum. It is their way to make you take vacation at least two weeks a year, and after T-Day travel I will be a week short.

So, where to now between Dec 16th-24? I like the beach. I like to get my cruising on men-wise when I take my breaks. Not sure I want to hit the spa. Still also need to hit NYC for some fun I promised. Miami? Darn, travelling in high season to Florida will hurt.
