(1) It's your loft, you can do nearly anything you like inside its walls that pleases you as long as it doesn't annoy the neighbors.
(2) If you're worried about scaring away potential buyers with a Swanky Hip Club look, consider the usual target market for lofts: people who probably like the Swanky Hip Club look. :)
(3) I know that wall paint has always been a very frustrating media for me, because it can appear to be very different colors wet and dry. Can you find the color you want in a Pantone (or similar) sample, and take it in to the paint store for them to scan & match?
