See, the molds (and thank you very much for them,
unzeugmatic) are just standard apricot or peach Jell-O with suspended blueberries and strawberries. We had leftover apricot mixture for garnish, and as we were beating it, we decided to experiment with a secret ingredient that was already fluffing up our smoothies every morning: whey protein. It worked. The jello set into a beautiful airy light merengue-like fluff with a whimsical fake-apricot flavor.
High protein dessert fluff. Anabolic Jell-O. Imagine, after a workout, your choice is to drink a chalky or lumpy whey protein shake, or grab a spoon and indulge in dessert, and still get your post-workout protein.
I must tell the world!

Date: 2004-01-25 08:00 pm (UTC)1 cup boiling water
1 cup ice
1 scoop American Whey ™ brand whey protein powder
Stir boiling water into Jell-O until dissolved. Add ice and stir until Jell-O is the consistency of unbeaten eggwhites. Beat Jell-O until fluffy. Add whey powder, and continue beating until Jell-O stands in medium peaks.
Chill briefly, and beat again to stiff peaks. Spoon as garnish to your favorite dessert, or enjoy as a refreshing high-protein snack.

Date: 2004-01-26 05:25 am (UTC)- non-crisco shortening
- j-lube
- small amount vanilla
- small amount of lidocaine liquid, usually anbesol
The Anbesol has a strong red dye in it and when mixed in, gives a very very very light pinkish/tan color to the mix. Kinda like what you see here.
