Volgens Wilders mag ik geen staatssecretaris of minister zijn. Dat jullie 't maar weten.

Oliver started at two last night. During the second interruption, at 4, we tried putting him with food, water, and a litterbox behind the one door we can close: the bathroom. He whines. He miauws. I can hear [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish fall asleep next to me when I told him to put earplugs in, because the thick door really muffles most of the sound. It's ok. This is ok. It is not nice to Oliver, but we could break his attention habit this way. I do not put plugs in to make sure everything stays ok.

And then I hear the first crash. And miauwing. And the second. And when I rush into the bathroom to see what the fuck is up here, I realize that in 5 minutes Oliver has figured out what some cats take years: gravity gets attention. He had jumped up on the vanity, a place we had never seen him before, quite some steps from the door he was whining at, and had started to shove items off the edge onto the floor, something he has never done before anywhere either. I let him out and sat next to him while he ate. He stayed quiet until 5.30.

I am actually secretly really proud of this mischievous animal. And am coming up with some new strategies to get him over this habit.
