The Mother Of Gift Catalogs arrived in my house, and I think it contains my undoing as the first item on the page.

It doesn't compare though, to the food porn they had two years ago, of which the pinnacle was this cachepot planter-sized and shaped cake of chocolate sponge and ganache, layered in a checkerboard pattern with cheescake, wrapped in white chocolate, for a mere threehundred or so bucks. Dvora and I almost bought it together just to know what it was like.

Why, why, why, why do I have the sweet tooth from candyland hell? I finished Bitty's shipment of cookies in three days!

Not been big on sweets otherwise, though, I have started to crave only the best or not at all. A candybar makes me sick these days.

From the site: Serves 10-12.

Er, no.

[livejournal.com profile] gmjambear says (as he paws the monitor): One! It serves ONE!

You really should meet [livejournal.com profile] shirleym sometime. She could do that.

Maybe this marriage won't work out. [livejournal.com profile] bubblebabble complements me well because no matter how many cookies I feed him, he's unable to gain wait. (Curse him!!!) See, when we're married, I'll bake cookies at home all the time, and there they'd be, free and yummy, and if you think you complain about too many cookies now...

You'd have to explore how to make low-carb high-protein cookies, and then I could take them as a post-workout muscle-snack.

Look, somebody who can make such delightful vegan cookies that [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish never even noticed they were vegan surely could come up with something here... and then sell them to bodybuilders. Bodybuilders love to eat, but all they get to pig out on is nasty shakes and skinless chicken breast.

I'd be buff and we'd be rich.

Low carb and high protein? Not all that much you can do with egg whey and oatmeal, is there?

As for the bodybuilders, I'd settle for their disposable income. Yes, I've checked the prices on their supplements and amino acids and vitamins and whatnot. Sometimes I think you have to be a rent boy to do bodybuilding right.

And that's just the available OTC stuff. The cheap part.

Yes. Or a 'personal sponsor' (same diff). Or have a personal sponsor. Or endorsememnts. Or only compete naturally (ha!).

well, hey, i'll just get crackin' then ;)

vegan is also not the same as low fat, however. i used margarine instead of butter - that's some improvement, but only so much. and pb is rather fatty. really, the only thing you're saving on is the cholesterol from the eggs. but then you're missing the protein from the butter and eggs, so really, you're not getting anywhere.

now i crave cookies, dammit. which i really shouldn't have today, since i finished that London Broil for lunch.
