[11:31] deanallemang: Ooooh!  A supporter of Fuzzy Logic just complained indistinctly about something!
[11:33] fjvwing: well, at least he is consistent

When I hear "AI," I think about the chickflick masquerading as SciFi. "I love you, Mommy!"
God, that film tears at my heart since my kids still prefer "Mommy" to "Mom." And I'm a sensitive mommy at that - NOBODY fucks with my kids (and thank God that's not a literal thing. Yet.) I've watched it several times and I always think "I wish the biological kid had stayed in his coma!" The end *still* sets me to sniffling. It's also why I know the meaning of the word "solipsism."
Well, maybe a bit of that was from "Blade Runner" as well.

Your post made me giggle anyway :D

When we finally saw the movie here at home -- thanks to the faulty magic cable box that gave me every channel available -- of course we had a lot of discussion here, since both of us are computer professionals, but from different fields. His background training -- which is indeed on Artificial Intellige and its meaning -- tells him that the only way to evaulate whether David truly loved was by looking at whether the people around him believed that he did. My training and current work puts some caveats on fully agreeing on that.

You are one of the few people I know that had the emotional reaction to this movie consistent with what David was portrayed as trying to project. Most of our friends, as did we, approached it very analytically as in "good Movie / Bad Movie" and "how realistic was technology and science handled".

Perople like you are what makes David's love real, even if he is a scripted character robot in a movie. Love, like other communication, is mysterious that way.

Actually, IIRC this was from Mardi Gras. Just a whiff of the catnip and he's more than willing to show us his kittay tittays. Or his "sweater kittens" as they say.

From HeMan's "CatHunt" profile, I proudly present his actual stats:

Height = 12"
Length = 36" nose to rose(bud)
Tail = 12"
Weight = 18 lbs.
Race = nubian DSH
Sex = neut.

I was trying to figure out how you embedded audio in your LJ comment because as I scrolled down to fat catness, I realized Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" was playing.

Nope. Coincidentally, it was just playing on the internet radio. Love those fat kittehs. Yours is teh hawt, but for reference, which side is the canus located on? Left/right/other?

The head is on the left, the tail is on the right, and the spine faces upwards.

I see. And was this photo taken before or after you made the cat into a bath rug?
