Yotel is opening up its hotel concept in Heathrow this year, and I think it is fabulous. Much is being said about it being 'coffin' size at 10m
2, but that was the size of my first room in Amsterdam. Ok, so my room had such a big window, and was on the 6th floor, that we ended up naming it 'The View With The Room', and these rooms will not have natural light. On the other hand, I had to deal with dorm-style shared toilets and showers -- often non-functional -- and, while I was unhappy living in this room for a long time, it was a great crash-pad.
I especially like that you can get these rooms at Terminal 4 in 4-hour-increment blocks. I am looking at 3.5 hour lay-over early morning in London Heathrow this month. Then again, it doesn't seem I will be travelling to Helsinki that much anymore from Boston.
