Fitna was released tonight. The format is a montage of news clips and newspaper headlines of terrorism and murder done in the name of Islam, ending with a spoken polemic.

First viewing by Dutch lawmakers says it stays within the boundaries of Dutch anti-discrimination laws.

Watching video is a challenge on my current connection.

What I saw tells me this would be trivial to make with Torah quotes, video of the IDL, and other snippets.

Or with video of terrorist Christian bombings and murders, Falwell quotes, and quotes from the Old Testament (KJV).

I lasted 4 minutes before I got bored. Nothing in those 4 minutes was news or novel.

still, i wanted to grab a copy because i think it won't last long online and couldn't figure out how, which makes me feel kinda stupid.

Agreed. But would those videos be as controversial or portend riots? I think that's where the difference exists. I'm kinda surprised there was all this brouhaha over what in the end was a pretty lackluster creation.
