I wonder what it says about my value system that I am more bothered by the fact that Robert Frisk killed animals he got out of shelters by lying about getting them a good home, than about the fact that he profits from investments made in hospitals that do not ban doing abortions. Plastic tells me the freepers are all over him for that last one, but I am pissed the man killed puppies!

My friend and coworker Rebecca runs a dog rescue group (http://www.wonderpaws.org). They will not place a dog without 3 home visits before placement and have an iron-clad (it's been tested in court) contract that allows them to take the dog back at any time based solely on their judgement.

I think frisk's behavior towards the animals is a better indicator of the type of person he is than his investments.

Agreed. One's treatment of other living things is much more indicative of their soul than the way one behaves in money and politics. Killing is way more depressing than simple greed and killing puppies is just plain wrong. =/

Let's see; lying to people who have committed their time to protecting animals in order to kill puppies in horrid, torturous ways. Indicates dishonestly, lack of respect for any authority but his own; arrogant, self-centered. Probably typical attitudes for a politician in any position, but here we get to see it face-on.

Investing in hospitals that perform abortions. Some political hypocrisy maybe. Dishonesty? Maybe not; perhaps he actually doesn't oppose abortion. Or at least, only the usual political dishonesty of believing what one's constituency wants one to believe.

I hope the freepers hang him, even if it is for the wrong reason.
